Day girls at Nga Tawa enjoy the special character of our boarding school, with one simple difference – every night after sport and extra-curricular commitments they get to go home.
The introduction of local boarding at Nga Tawa (two nights a week) means that in 2018 we will have more day girl positions available than in the past. We expect to be offering places to between 10 and 15 day girls.
Because Nga Tawa is an integrated special character school its maximum day girl roll of 40 students is prescribed in an agreement with the Ministry of Education. The geographic zone for day girl enrolment is within 25 kilometres of the school premises by road. Proof of residence within this geographic zone may be required.
Nga Tawa Diocesan School is a registered charitable trust. The Nga Tawa Diocesan School Trust Board is the Proprietor of School and owns the land and buildings, providing boarding and related services to the School.
The total fees and contribution set by the Nga Tawa Diocesan School Trust Board to attend Nga Tawa as a day girl fully involved in the special character of the school is $6880. To see a breakdown of these fees please request the full terms and conditions here.
Applications for enrolment from day student candidates are processed in the following order of priority:
If the number of applicants within any priority group exceeds the places available, then selection will be made by ballot, conducted in accordance with instructions issued by the Secretary under section 11G of the Education Amendment Act 2010.
Once we have received your application form our Enrolments Officer, Tracey Brannelly, will contact you to book an interview time with the Principal, Lesley Carter.
Please contact Tracey directly if you have questions or would like further information during this process. (Phone 06 327 6429 or email to Enrolments Officer, Tracey Brannelly).
