Nga Tawa's Scholar's Society is made up of the five highest achieving students in each year group and they're busy passing on their knowledge to local primary school children with their Homework Club initiative. The Homework Club sees Nga Tawa Scholars help years one to eight James Cook School students with the homework they've been set once a week.
It was great to have 20 James Cook School students in attendance for their first session of the year last week. Scholar's Society members Tessa, Lara, Lily and Jessie tackled maths, reading, spellings, insect life cycles and then finished with story time.
