APPLICATION FORM JOB DESCRIPTION
Equestrian Coach
Full-time
Set amongst 90 acres of rolling Rangitikei farmland, Nga Tawa Diocesan School is home to New Zealand’s largest on-site school equestrian centre. Currently 73 students and their horses are part of our Equestrian Academy which caters to riders of all levels and abilities. We also have school-owned or leased horses and ponies for girls who don’t have their own.
Due to significant roll growth, we are recruiting for an equestrian coach to join our equestrian team.
Ideally applicants will hold a coaching qualification but those with relevant equestrian experience are encouraged to apply. We are looking for someone who can coach at 1.20m and below, and to a similar dressage level. The ability to build rapport with and relate to teenagers is a must. As this role requires driving our 9-bay school horse truck to and from shows, a Class 4 license would be advantageous. Given our coaches transport girls to shows and support them at competitions, weekend hours should be expected.
If you would relish the opportunity to be involved in Nga Tawa’s equestrian success, then please apply by sending a covering letter, a copy of your C.V and a completed application form to our Head of Equestrian, Andrew Scott, at employment@ngatawa.school.nz. An application form is available on our website, www.ngatawa.school.nz/vacancies.
Onsite accommodation and horse grazing is available to the successful applicant.
Applications close on Friday 22 March 2024.
