We believe that all young people are on their own spiritual journey, and drawing on Sir Mason Durie’s model of Te Whare Tapa Wha and Hauora, we acknowledge that spiritual formation is an integral part of the education experience we provide.
While at Nga Tawa students are encouraged to explore their faith; we provide opportunities for the students to do this through religious education classes, chapel services and a student faith group.
As our students progress through their years at Nga Tawa they are encouraged to develop servant leadership, as modelled by Jesus in the Gospels. Students have the opportunity to serve through various projects, charity events, and initiatives. We believe this develops strong character, showing our school values of Integrity, Respect, and Courage, and creating 21st century young leaders.
