Nga Tawa offers quality facilities that allow us to offer a range of sports.
The Event Centre, or EC as it is known, is the sports hub of Nga Tawa. It features an indoor basketball/netball court, indoor rowing and cycling facilities (ten Concept II rowing machines and ten spin stands for cycle training), a gym and weights room and an indoor rock climbing wall.
The Sports Department staff are available to show students how to properly use the equipment and will also design personal programmes for students when required.
Our unique location on 90 acres of rolling Rangitikei farmland provides a safe environment where girls can be girls and grow up at their own pace. We have a 2km multipurpose track around our school perimeter which our girls use for running, walking and biking.
The main field is used for athletics, cricket (with an artificial wicket) and softball during the summer and Football during the winter. Just off the main field is a two-wicket enclosed cricket practice area.
Nga Tawa has an outdoor 25 metre swimming pool that the girls use during the summer months.
Nga Tawa has three netball courts and four tennis courts.
