Our Nga Tawa Boarding team has extensive career and life experience across a broad range of relevant fields including nursing, social work, counselling, therapy, and teaching. As a team we hold the concern and responsibility for caring for the girls. We use a strengths based approach, looking for their talents and skills and developing an appreciation for those around them and for their environment. We encourage and facilitate their participation in all aspects of school life, delight in sharing their successes and challenge their growth. To witness their development from uncertain year 9 students into young women who are confident about where they are going and how they are going to get there, is a real pleasure.
We also have a boarding committee which is made up of student representatives from each year level. They make a valuable contribution to Boarding, initiating discussions around any changes or improvements that could better boarding at Nga Tawa.
